On the Road to URC 2026

A series of international events is taking place in the lead-up to the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026), which will be held in June 2026 in Gdańsk.

On 22–23 April 2026, the EU–Ukraine Business Summit in Brussels brought together representatives of governments, businesses and financial institutions to discuss investment opportunities and support for Ukraine’s recovery.

Pre-URC Conference
On 26–27 April 2026, the Pre-URC Conference in Rzeszów focused primarily on the Security and Defense Dimension, bringing together public and private stakeholders to discuss key challenges and opportunities in this area. The event also included an EXPO zone and opportunities for business networking.

Local and Regional Dimension Pre-URC Event
The IV International Summit of Cities and Regions «Partnership. Resilience. Preparedness» is initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and organized as a preparatory event «On the Road to URC 2026». The Summit will take place on 25–26 May 2026 in Kyiv.
As the largest gathering of local and regional representatives of Ukraine and their foreign partners, the Summit aims to unite international regional and municipal efforts directed to ensuring sustainable infrastructure operation under ongoing russian attacks, revitalization of de-occupied territories, and sharing best experience in inter-territorial cooperation, regional development, investment, and post-war restoration of human resources.
This year's agenda focuses on critical infrastructure and vital functions resilience, territorial and human resilience, and Ukraine's unique experience of organizing civil life under regular attacks - energy shortages, blackouts, and ensuring the autonomy of facilities and institutions under warfare circumstances.
On the first day, participants will join organized tours to communities near Kyiv to see examples of completed reconstruction projects and resilient energy infrastructure. The plenary session on the second day will consist of a large number of multi-topic discussion panels and formats, and will provide a platform to exchange best practices, sign new agreements, implement innovative projects, and create success stories in various areas of local self-government development.
