Venue details will be shared with all participants a few weeks before the conference. However, if you are enquiring for travel reasons you should look to book accommodation close to Greenwich in London.
Venue details will be shared with participants a few weeks before the conference, but it is in central London so will be easily accessible by London Underground and Bus services.
Thank you for expressing interest in attending the URC. We have received a huge number of requests to attend the conference and we are now full. We, and our Ukrainian co-hosts, welcome the overwhelming levels of support that the conference has attracted. Although we can’t offer you a place at the conference you can still be involved by watching the plenaries and thematic sessions live at: https://www.urc-international.com/
The registration deadline for country delegations and international organisations was 2nd June. Everyone else invited should respond within a week.
All delegates will need to register through the conference portal. Details on how to register will be provided following the receipt of an official invitation. If you have received your invitation but not your registration link, please check your junk mail. If you still haven’t received one, please contact: UkraineRecovery.ConferenceEnquiries@fcdo.gov.uk
Speakers have been selected through a separate process and will have been contacted through the different session organisers.
We have worked across HMG departments and with the Government of Ukraine to ensure that we are inviting a wide range of multilateral organisations, international financial institutions, international private sector representatives, and civil society.
Yes. Over 130 invitations have been issued for civil society organisations working on a broad range of issues and topics. Civil society speakers and panel participants are being contacted through a separate process.
For all queries regarding government delegations, including delegation size, mission briefing, site visits, and accommodation, please email: Delegation.Accreditation@fcdo.gov.uk.
Please note that due to capacity restrictions, participants that are not from country delegations, will not be able to bring accompanying guests.
Unfortunately, funding to support travel and accommodation is extremely limited. While we aim to cover costs for key speakers, we are encouraging all participants to look to cover their own costs where possible.
Standard immigration/visa rules apply for each country. Standard visitor visas are currently taking an average of 3 weeks to process, please see the gov.uk (gov.uk) guidance on visa processing times outside the UK (gov.uk/guidance/visa-processing-times-applications-outside-the-uk). Applicants should plan ahead and apply for a visa as early as possible.
Please contact UkraineRecoveryConference.VisaEnquiries@fcdo.gov.uk as soon as possible if you require an additional supporting letter to compliment your official invitation.
The conference will showcase the strength and potential of the private sector in supporting Ukraine to “build back better”, working alongside a broad coalition of governments, international organisations, and civil society.
The conference will focus on how best to enable private sector investment, including the role of governments and international financial institutions, Ukraine’s own transformation and reform programme, and the support of the international community.
We are developing the conference programme and a detailed agenda which will be shared on this website in due course.
We anticipate that the majority of sessions at the conference will be open to all those invited, but further details will be available once the detailed agenda is released.
Open sessions at the conference will be available to live stream on the website.
We will offer simultaneous interpretation into Ukranian at sessions during the conference and through the live streaming.
Unfortunately, as conference participant numbers are limited you will not be able to bring an interpreter with you. Please contact UkraineRecovery.ConferenceEnquiries@fcdo.gov.uk as soon as possible if you have any concerns.
In the run up to the Conference, and working with other key partners, we will be working up a range of announcements and deliverables that relate to sector specific sessions and breakouts.
The Department of Business and Trade has launched Business Bridge Ukraine, a pilot initiative through which members of the global business community can connect with Ukrainian companies, supporting reconstruction and recovery through the building of sustainable and long-lasting commercial relationships. Bringing together Ukrainian businesses, global counterparts and the UK private sector all within a single space, the platform will provide a forum for relevant businesses and their expertise to connect, convene and collaborate with complementary partners in Ukraine. The platform has now been launched ahead of URC, and will allow relevant businesses to connect and engage with counterparts both at the conference and beyond. Businesses who are interested in joining the platform may express their interest in doing so here.
The Ukraine Business Compact gives international businesses a platform to show their support for Ukraine’s recovery. As a signatory, you will join companies around the world declaring your support for the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine. This includes looking for opportunities, when the time is right, to engage in trade and investment, peer-to-peer expertise sharing, pro bono work, and business activities.
On behalf of the Governments of Ukraine and the United Kingdom, we would also like to take the opportunity to invite you to sign the Ukraine Business Compact 2023 here – a declarative and non-binding statement of international business support for Ukraine’s recovery. Password: URC_2023_apklsnbdudor
We have launched an official registration portal for the conference. Those invited and registered to attend will automatically receive relevant updates.
Any questions on media opportunities and arrangements should be directed to newsdesk@fcdo.gov.uk.
