Ukraine’s recovery requires not only funding and political will, but also robust delivery systems that safeguard funds, build trust, and ensure confidence among stakeholders. As reconstruction scales, integrity risks in areas such as private investments, procurement, project implementation, and oversight become increasingly significant. This official URC 2026 side event will bring together leading representatives from international financial institutions, development finance institutions, renewable energy developers, insurance, brokers and legal advisers with direct project and transaction experience to explore how renewable energy projects can be successfully structured, financed and delivered in Ukraine during wartime.
Through a practical, solutions-oriented discussion focused on risk mitigation, offtake arrangements, insurance availability and the mobilisation of public and private capital, the session will draw on real deal experience — including how projects are structured, risk is allocated and contractual frameworks are made bankable - to examine the conditions required to advance recovery investments and implementation-focused partnerships.
By bringing together commercial, financial, insurance and legal structuring expertise, the event will connect policy objectives with transaction reality, contributing to the URC 2026 agenda of accelerating investment, strengthening regional cooperation, and translating recovery ambition into investable, executable projects.
